Do I need number plate brackets for SVA?

AS the title says.

Can't find anything in the SVA manual that says I'll need them.

Thanks

It's not required, but you will need a rear number-plate lamp. If you do fit a bracket, it will be subject to the 'sharp edges' tests, even though it will end up with a plate on it.

Well, there you go then!

Any road up, to be absolutely sure, you could leave any plate brackets off until after the SVA.
