Mot time

Hi my mot is due soon but i have no tax to drive the car to the mot station . if i tax it before the mot runs out it means i will have it on the road 1 month to early how can i get round this + will my insurance be void if i drive it without a mot or tax to the mot station

your allowed to drive to MOT station without tax or MOT as long as your insured,

If you book your car in before you set off then your insurance will be valid.

As said above but make sure the garage has the vehicle reg and your name in thier diary!!
You can legally drive to and from a PRE-BOOKED MoT without MoT and tax but both you and the garage has to be able to prove you are booked in should the BiB want to check. It's no good just calling your mate who owns a garage and him telling you to 'just pop it in whenever'. I found out the hard way!!

And if the car fails for a severe safty issue, the garage can issue you with a failure certificate that states that in their opinion, the car should not be driven on the road. In which case, if you did get pulled by the BiB, you may have to do some grovelling!!

As soon as you start driving it on the road you become liable for road tax, only way would be to delay MOT until you intend to use it or trailer it there.

Sorry David, but could *can* drive it to a pre-booked MOT or place of repair without Tax. See previous posts.
