There's a lot of headlamps on that link - which ones are they?

better still give Alan a call - he is known to be very helpful on the telephone.

Cheers

If its the 110mm ones then you might be lucky. I know Darren has had several sets through SVA, others havent been so lucky though.

The problem is that they have no beam cut-off pattern and also dip straight up/down as they are really motor bike lights.

Step one would be to call premier and ask them. If they won't commit then assume they're not. Don't get bought into the 'they are e marked' comment that one seller apparently uses - it's not relevant if it's a motorbike e-mark.

Do they have an e mark and an arrow pointing to the left on the lens?

I believe they are motorbike lights and aren't SVA compliant personally (I was tempted by them but bought some SVC 5.75".

Most worrying discussion around lights was that if you retro-fit non-SVA lights after the test the insurance company could use it as a reason not to pay out a quote that came from an insurance assessor apparently.

Lots of threads on those lights BTW as you seem to have discovered

I bought the Saturnus ones at £55.

No probs at SVA. The tester said the beam pattern was spot on.

I'd be highly sceptical of claims that the 110mm dia headlights have passed SVA. I know a few people that have tried and failed but to date, I don't know of any that have ever passed SVA with these headlights.

Just to be clearer the lights i have are the 110mm (top of the web page) guess i'll have to check for arrows and just give them a try, if they dont pass i'll replace them i guess!

The beam pattern is wrong and the E marking on the lense is incorrect. Why risk a fail at SVA for the sake of a pair of headlights?..............

2CV headlights are small and cheap second hand. Make sure the reflectors are good as these are not so cheap if you have to buy them new!

I would agree with Phil. At sVc we have sold a good quantity of our 5 ¾” headlights to people who have had the smaller ones fail SVA.
I have been very, very reluctant to sell the small headlights but one of our trade customers wanted a set for a race car. So we now stock them and they will be shown on our new web site when it’s on-line next month. However they will be advertised as “off road / race use only”. The web site will also have the following:

RACING HEADLIGHTS - NEW
Black or Chrome
These small headlights are for Off Road & Racing Use Only. Whilst they are "E" marked, they are not Fully Road Legal for cars, in fact the importer suggests the buyer checks to ensure they are Road Legal even for motor cycles!
The outside diameter of the rim is only 108mm and they weigh approx 620 grams each, complete with bulbs and wiring. Fitted with H4 Main Beam and Dip bulb and a side light. These do not comply with the regulations of the 750 Motor Club Race series as they insist on 5 3/4" lights.

Best regards
Steve @ sVc

I have a set of the 5.75" lights from SVC, and am very happy with them. They were recommended to me, and I would pass that recommendation on to anyone looking for a set of lights too.
