As long as you have 3 major parts from a donor (3 points) and a manufacturers chassis (5 points, total 8) , you can get an age related plate or if you have one reconditioned item (usually engine) and everything else is brand new (you will need to provide proof), you can get a brand new reg.
What kit is it?
I have built a Mirage.

GB kit, that must be 25 years old!
The main problem with their kit is that the v12 is partially into the rear fire wall and handling was poor.
I would go the V8 route or use a V6 audi turbo and transaxle.
GB went awol for a very good reason!

It all depends on your budget.
Rover V8 plus Renault 30 transaxle (if you can find one!)
BMW V12 (shorter than jag) and audi transaxle. Both will need adapter plates/bellhousing and flywheel clutch conversions.
Audi v6 turbo and transaxle.
Whatever you go for it will be expensive.
Look at parralleldesigns website.

Naz will probably talk you out of the GB then and tell you to buy a Diablo!
We all progressed from countach kits because they are generally a nightmare to build and parts are difficult to get.
You will probably have trouble with things like windscreen that fits and curved or flat door glass.
Naz has sorted the diablo so you can buy everypart and it will look right too!
