Phone Sandy Lane test centre first, ask how long the waiting list is for an SVA. Make up a VIN number. Then fill in the forms (
VOSA) then post them to Swansea. You'll get a letter back from Swansea confirming they have your paperwork
and that you will get an appointment letter. Then you get a phone call from Sandy Lane, they give you a few dates to pick from. Go to SVA centre,
test, pass / fail / re-test*.
Once you have passed go to Gosforth DVLA office, sit around, talk to them about registering the car, fill in the paperwork, book an appointment to
take the car up to them for the inspection. After the inspection wait 3-5 days, get a letter in the post notifying you of the number they have
allocated you. Get plates made up. Wait another 2-4 days, get a tax disc in the post. Drive!
