Aquatic Valves for a BEC

I have been looking at this thread: http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=17257 and i have noticed that it doesn't explain how the pipes get a perfect seal with the carb holes. Anyone had any dealings with fitting this system to help with the emissions?

I have just ordered the Aquatic valve kit as mine failed the emissions test at my first SVA. I have booked it into an MOT garage this Friday to get the emissions sorted once and for all.

On a fireblade, the valve system uses the bleed screws under the carbs, these are blanked off with hex head bolts, apart from the one that is used to create a vaccum for the fuel tap, you need three more of the fittings that are used for the fuel tap vaccum and put these in place of the blanking bolts, you then connect the adaptors to the valves with 4 hoses.

I would start of with one turn out and see how it goes, you will need a good cat to get the emissions down, make sure you get it red hot.

can't comment on the diy system, but i used a closed loop lambda system that bled air in through a couple of solenoids, so i guess its the same principle.
On kawi's there are small pipes tapped directly into the inlet ports underneath the inlet rubbers, (so you can attach gauges for carb balancing) I used these to bleed the air in to each cylinder. IIRC mys old suzuki had them, so maybe the honda will be the same.

I would presume that a local bike shop would have them in stock.

The Fuel tap one is on Cylinder 3 I think! looking from the carb side from left to right.

I'll have a look to what i can find.

Mike
