SVA is the process used in the UK, and will not be applied in Finland. You will need to register your Locost using Finland's registration
process.
Good luck
Dom.

Although if you do the SVA in england you may have tax issues when you import it. If you get a really old lotus its cheap (like 20+ years)

the most problem in finland is that nobody knows how to test the chaisis and frame and mechanics..
and they dont know what are the requirement for this car type

How do they test self built cars then? Or isn't it allowed to build one off specials?

Does that then mean you can't import or build a replica of an original sidevalve powered Lotus 7 for example? I doubt very much one of those
would pass structural let alone emissions tests anywhere on this planet these days!

except you have to contend with the tax implications of importing a car into finland - hence my comment about needing to find an old tax exempt car.

That law doesn´t apply in sweden if it´s a amatuer built car (thats what they´re called here). Not even if you buy a factory built Ultima or Caterham
is it possible to import it to sweden and drive it here.
One exception is if you have lived in u.k for at least 1 year and owned the car continuously during that time, only then you can take it back to
sweden when your moving home.
I suspect it´s the same in finland

What's the use of European laws if each country uses its own laws.
Normally spoken an European law should apply to every European country.
For which sake is there an European parlement?

In this case a car must be crash tested and have a Certificate of Conformity (CoC)
And what I understood it wasn´t easy for builders in Belgium to register a car.
So what happened to your post?

I ask myself the same question, it's gone...
Like I said before (???) to register a self build car in Belgium, we've to do SVA and register it in the UK and then import it back to
Belgium.
And the we start all over again, SVA in Belgium.
