I went down to my local Kwak dealer with the engine number. He looked it up on the parts computer and found the details for the bike that my engine
came out of. He printed that page off for me and I submitted it to the SVA man.
The sheet had the make, model, engine number, chassis number, year of manufacture, reg no, colour etc etc.

I wrote to the Honda UK head office and they wrote me a confirmatory note.
Cost me £35 quid though
Haynes manuals usually give engine code years....

Alternatively just buy a manual for the old ZX10, it clearly shows the bike was only made up until '90 so engine couldn't be newer than
that.
I just photocopied the V5's for mine, but it's a bit late to tell you to do that now!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.
