Good fail at Southampton

Hi all,

Well - eventually managed to get to an SVA test! Knew it would fail, but just didn't have time to sort all the problems, what with moving house and everything.

Despite some of the horror stories about Southampton, the tester - Andy was really really helpful and did everything to get it as near to passing as possible;

Failed on...

A few sharp bits I missed, could have fixed those then if thats all it was.

Brake balance bar needs welding / rollpinning

Steering column needs a bit more support, about the only thing which is a bit of a bugger

Speedo needs to work! Hopefully something simple!

Thanks to all on here who helped get it this far, especially NSDev and also Calvin - wherever he is!

Chris

When you say the column needs additional support, is there any chance you can post a pic of the current failure?

Otherwise a good fail indeed! Good luck for the retest.

I had Andy for my test - top bloke!

Sounds like a very reasonable first stab at it and not too difficult to resolvse other than the steering column issue. I would be speaking to Dax to see if it's a known issue and whether they have a fix.
