If you have the engine number have you tried asking at the parts department, They may be able to tell you what car it was in and also the age of that car.

I think I have a letter somewhere stating the age of the engine (from Toyota). Just had a quick look but can't find it now and haven't got time to have a proper look, so I'll look later today. Otherwise RAW will probably be able to help you out (that's where my letter came from).

Rob,

I'm also building a kit with a 4AGE in it. I asked at my local toyota dealer and they gave me the following details for Toyota customer relations, whom they said would be able to send me a letter of verification. I haven't gotten round to it yet, so cannot say categorically that this will work but call and email them and let me know how you get on.

Call 01737 367600 or email them at:

customer.relations@tgb.toyota.co.uk

regards

Pete

Hi Rob I had to go through all of this I had to contact Toyota imports I have the address which is
Toyota (GB) plc
Great Burgh
Burgh Heath
Epsom
Surrey
KT18 5UX

Tel no 01737363633
Fax No 01737367700

I gave the engine number and they sent me a water marked letter with all of the information of the car which the engine came from. The guy's name who I spoke to is Peter Jackson his direct line is 01737367931

The letter cost me £60 three years ago but you can't do it without it. I hope this helps

Rob

Sorry didn't find the info you require (yet) and I'm now away from home so I suggest that you try RAW as they faxed a letter to my SVA station which was great of them!

Other wise I'll be back end of the week and I'll have another look then.
