I hope so,

All my brake lines are run with plastice P Clips, I put a small bit of bike inner tube round the pipe before putting on the clip just to protect it.

plastic pee clips

The use of plastic clips in high performance machines is not an issue for SVA as production cars have these snap in clips and they are plastic. The problem is when you add heat and vibration as well as brake fluids ,oils ect . The snap in clips go hard and brittle. A possible solution is to get some PYRO CABLE CLIPS (Bicc) at your freindly electrical wholesalers (bigger branches are better). Pyro is copper covered mineral heatproof cable used in fire alarms and petrol stations for those not in the know. A good place to see them is at the fire alarm points that are surface mounted. the clip is plastic coated and is black or red in colour. the hole for the smallest is 4mm me thinks and they come in various sizes up to 25 mm.

Can anyone post on this who's car has been through SVA?

We haven't used plastic purely for the 'grey area' this topic highlights.

Would be nice to know tho'
