Next Steps after SVA
I have my SVA next week and pending an improbable pass, whats the quickest way to get it registered. I am going for a new plate and have forms
V55/4 and V267. The forms say to send them to the DVLA with insurance, ID, photos, reciepts etc. I have also read that it will need to be
inspected.
I note some have taken their car striaght from SVA to DVLA?
Whats the best way?
Thanks Paul

I guess you'll be dealing with manchester.
I think you'll have to trail the car round there for the inspection (they came out to me but that was 2 years ago). I would hope they should
register it while you wait.
fingers crossed
Bob
PS did you sort out the secondary butterflies? which wire was broke......??

Cheers Bob, the butterflies seem to have fixed themselves. Seems I may have a Gremlin in the wiring

Is it Manchester or Shrewsbury?
Mine was at Shrewsbury (I had driven there in the seven) and I was able to go from SVA to the DVLA in Shrewsbury and get a numberplate authorisation.
On the way home I stopped at a motor factors and had the numberplates made up there an then. I put them on when I got home. All done in an afternoon
!!
The DVLA guy attends the SVA at Shrewsbury, so the inspection bit is covered at the same time as the SVA test

Sounds like someone at DVLA with a bit of common sense
