Depends on which picture you look at. The last picture in the archive makes them look too far back.
Take a plumb line to the test with you if you're worried.

A truly excellent fail. Sounds like youve had a good morning - well done.

top seatbelt bracket edges need shroud or radiuses - i stuck some rubber u-trim around mine. Was a bit fiddly but worked with superglue. Alternative is to get some covers off a car in scrappy.

front mudguard front edge needs adjusting forward to cover rim vertically - to avoid adding holes to mud guard i seem to recall hearing people add an extension - bit like a mud flap. You have to be mindful of solving one fail but causing another though.

radius's on reflectors - dissapointing as they came from a well known supplier - my reversing and fog light were the same out of the box. Luckily id been told aabout it so increased the rad before the test - i just used stanley knife to scrape them.

Fingers crossed for speedy and successful retest.

The grille, without sva caps, is standard Luego and looks go on the cars seen out and about. I am biased though as I have one!

What is the story with the big thing on the bottom of the dash. Is that really necessary?

Well done though, it looks like a great car.

Stop talking about it, get it done and on the road.

Good one mate should be easy to fix and retest. See you on the road soon then.

In answer to some of your queriea

the mudguard is only just outside of the vertical line - it is ok on one side and the other i can just bend the stays slightly pushing the front edge forward.

the big trim on the dash is a piece of pipe insulation covered in leatherette - protection to suit radius requirements - under that i have standard vinyl edge trim - the pipe insulation takes 2 secs to remove after sva.

Thanks for the info, I suspected that and think I will need to do the same. How did you fix it to the dashboard to the examiners satisfaction but not leaving any perminent marks?

its rigid foam insulation (for 10mm pipe), and fits quite firmly over the bottom of the dash. The permanant edge trim is also fixed to the dash edge under the foam, so this helps it from coming off.
- wasn't queried at all by mr SVA.
