DVLA Inspection
Well just been down to the DVLA office in Ipswich and handed over my paperwork. they told me that the lady who carries out the inspections would ring
me later....
she has just called and arrange to come out and look at the car on wednesday. she tells me that after that it should take about a week to get the
registration sorted................

Do a search for DVLA and im sure you will find plenty more complaints by other locostbuilders. It seems different offices are better than others
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I found the Ipswich bod to be very good - but he was male, so obviously things have changed since.

I had inspection before SVA but still had to wait almost a week for papework to come through. They did phone with reg number though earlier so i could
appease the insurance company.

I had a couple of inspections with Ipswich in 2002 and 2003 they allowed me to drive to the office after the SVA. First time I got the paperwork
sorted and the plates the same day and the second time the paperwork for the plates came through about a week later. For some reasom Ipswich do seem
to be quite on the ball.

Was trying to decide whether to have my inspection before or after the test. Sounds like before is the way forward.
Papers going in the post today or tomorrow.

Nicola from Ipswich DVLA has just visited as promised... a quick look at the chassis number and engine number (I didn't know it was a
requirement to have a seperate plate with the chassis number on!)
She confirmed I will get an age related plate and will make sure that paper work is done quickly so I can be road legal for the weekend!
what a nice lady!
BTW: if anyone is having SVA @ Norwich she tries to arrange to do the inspection to coincide - there is a dvla inspection bay up there that she
uses.....
IPSWICH DVLA - Big thumbs up!

When reading this all I can think of is the old Renault ad.
Ahh.... Nicole (a)
Did she call you Papa?
More to the point, is there a new avatar on the way?
