liverpool or Shrewsbury
Hi
Anyone from the Northwest who has passed SVA give any feedback on which test station (Liverpool/Shrewsbury) I should put as my first choice
Any nightmre stories or good feedback from either much appreciated.
Aslo do any of the local DVLA offices near either visit the SVA centres for inspections as Chester insist on it being taken to the office and they
have no car parking space.
Many thanks
Nigel
Thanks
Nigel

Hi Nigel,
I used Shrewsbury and found the inspector, Stuart, to be very fair and he certainly knows his stuff, he actually made the experience pleasurable, if
SVA can be classed as pleasurable.

Bob

Another vote for shrewsbury and echo the enjoyable bit. Plus the journey is an enjoyable one rather than boring motorway's

Liverpool definitely doesn't exist anymore!
I went to Manchester this time last year. Inspector was hugely anal on edge radii and said he'd only passed 1 kit first time in 6 years of
testing or something. Perfectly reasonable about everything else though and provided suggestions to get a pass

2 years ago, Shrewsbury also had the DVLA guy on site at the same time to do their inspection. After the SVA I drove to the DVLA Shrewsbury (plenty of
parking) and got my numberplate allocated and a form to authorise their make-up, the same day.

Not yet - was judging by what Chester Sportscars have said about them as i should be going to SVA soon with Martin's Supercat. Judging by some
of the comments though i think i'd rather go to Shrewsbury now!!! I took my Super 6 down there to Shrewsbury, but that went through SVA 8 years
ago now!!

Been to Shrewsbury three times and can certainly recommend it. As Jos says the drive from Chester is a nice one.
Stuart is slightly easier going than Mark but both guys I felt were fair and professional (even though they both failed me).
When I passed around 2 years ago the DVLA inspector was only at Shrewsbury certain days.
Strange what you say about Chester as I applied there and the guy came to Crewe to inspect my car. Took about 15 mins and the documents arrived a few
days later. I know most people flame the DVLA but I had no problems and it was dead easy.
I used to be apathetic but now I just don't care.
