MOT still valid if I get an early fail?
My tin top MOT is due mid june, I have booked my car in for an MOT on tuesday next week. If it fails on anything, can I still use my car after that
fail? I have checked a couple of MOT websites but its not mentioned.
Reason being I have to use my car after the test, and legally its still got a few weeks of MOT left, but if it fails on the new test (which is allowed
to be done upto a month early) then what is the legal standing of the car in that time when it has technically got both an MOT and an MOT failure.
Anyone know for sure?

Your old mot still covers you untill it runs out
However, dependant on what you car fails on then you may be in trouble if pulled for having an unroadworthy car.
First paragraph on the back of your vt30 ( red fail sheet)

A pre test would be a wiser option, MOT's are on line now, and the failure (hope you dont) will be recorded.
