SVA and centre mirror?
Do you need a centre mirror for a sva if the wing mirrors have good vision?
Wasnt there someone on here who went through without one?

I was told when i had my SVA that as i have very good visibility range from the side mirrors that i did not need the rear view mirror.....BUT legally
you had to have a rear view mirror in the cockpit area, so I just put it down out of site(mine is on tunnel)

Ditto. I think you have to have one even if it only shows you your make-up
I also had a situation where I had a very low rear view mirror (tick box!!) but you couldn't see anything from it. However, the wing mirrors
alone passed the rear visability test (another tick box!!)...
It fell off shortly after SVA, just before I put the windscreen on which amazingly covered up the holes in the scuttle where the rear view mirror had
been attached It's as if it was designed that way.....

Only way to not need one is to have no possibility of it seeing anything i.e. in a van with a full bulkhead.
7's need them even if the side mirrors give complete coverage, stupid really - maybe they'll clean it up at IVA, but I suspect it's
an anachronism in the construction and use laws and we're stuck with it.
