i put mine in some of that clear PVC tube you get for fish tanks and the like. got it in homebase. i like to see the braidedness, but i think the tube's gonna get all rotten and dirty/mouldy inside with damp and stuff, so it'll probably come off after SVA lol

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Spiral wrap it is then .....just so difficult to fathom why it would make the car less dangerous to brush against

Thanks all

Never needed to cover my ones - didn;t even know about that stupid rule

anyone quote the section that says

"Thow must cover Braided hoses with something"

Mine weren't covered for SVA.

I failed the first one big time but it was one of the few things they didn't mention!!

Second time round, still exposed braided flexi, still no problem....

I did mine just in case at the time as there had been occasions when it had been picked during other peoples SVA. Could have left it and put spiral wrap at SVA but don't like the look, I just think clear heat shrink looks nicer.

They wan't the then covered for good reason, they are very abrasive, and will cut through other metal parts in time if they touch (which they should'nt any how if you have then correctly installed)..
