docs required for current reg number?
Hi guys
I have build a new Caterham with all new parts with the exception of the diff which I have the "reconditioned to as new" receipt from the
supplier. The engine came from a complete bike that was zero milage and I have a receipt in my name for that.
So my question is, exactly what documents apart from the V55 and insurance will I need to register this car on a new plate?
thanks
Jason

I would say:
Receipts for all the new parts
Receipt for the "reconditioned as new" diff
Some evidence on the year of the bike engine. A receipt on its own may not be enough. Do you have a copy of the bike V5? If not, see if you can get a
letter from the manufacturer.

You'll need...
1. V55/4 which also comes with a form to give the source of all the major components,
2. the reciepts,
3. a "declaration of newness" form (cant remember the V number) from DVLA.
plus insurance and a MAC cert' from SVA.

Thanks guys
I've searched DVLA fir a declaration of newness form and the one below is the only one I can find and is for imported cars. Is it the one to
use?

Sorry, forgot to look yesterday.
Yes, it was form V267 that Manchester DVLA gave me . I just put N/A for the Revenue weight and Type approval bits.
