Proof of engine ( year of manufacture )
Hi all can anyone out there tell me how and where i can get proof of year of manufacture of my Vauxhall 20XE Engine I know its pre 1993 and none CAT,
but where and how do i obtain this, because it says that it needs proof or it will be tested as a CAT engine, I went to my local vauxhall dealer who
was very helpful and found that it was pre 1993 and not a CAT engine but there was no way his computor would allow him to print off the info, also I
rang Vauxhall customer assist and they told me that they could not help me unless i had registration documents.
Any help would be great and the Engine no Is 20XE 14 071412 if that will help.

Haynes manuals usually have an engine code guide in them. Worked for me @ SVA....
