Brake pipe route
JeffJeffers - 18/7/10 at 10:16 PM

Has anyone got any pictures of where to run the brake pipes on an MK Indy R.
I'm a little nervous about drilling holes in the wrong place.
I have searched but I can only find pictures of MK Indy's.

Don't overthink your build or you'll be building forever and never driving.

The route the Indy brakes take will be the same as the R (give or take!)

The brake line has to run from the master cylinder to the rear caliper/drum, how could it be shorter? Or if you mean the pipe as supplied with the kit, run it from the master cylinder back and cut off any excess and re-flare.
As already said, don't over think it, run the pipe through the tunnel, top, bottom or sides, your choice, clip every 300mm and do it before you panel the tunnel

hi there
yes sorry i meant the pipe that came with the kit is to long as you say i will need to cut and re flare craig

JeffJeffers - 20/7/10 at 09:21 PM

If the pipe is to long you need to cut it to size with a pipe cutter. Then use a tool to flare the end again.
