Riveting the floor - What to rivet into?
Sloan85 - 14/10/12 at 05:21 PM

First day working on the car today.

I am unsure whether I should be riveting into the flat steel as well as the square sections? Are these flat steels for the seat rails?

I have marked them up with masking tape (see pic) but thought I'd check before drilling.

Cheers!!

i just did mine to the square steel as the flat parts are for the seats/runners. Seems plenty sturdy enough.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ill leave the runners then.

Its my old squire bass that is half way through being refurbed. Going to attempt a black and white swirled paint job when I get time

Mark it up nd dril then u want some pu adhesive on there b4 you rivet. Also easier if you are going lucky reverse to cut slot at the back b4 you fit the floor.
Cheers D
Oh yeah 1 hole in the middle of the flat steel straps is good too

got some adhesive with the kit so should get the floor done this week. Also MK supplied the floor powder coated with the slot for the electric reverse already cut out.
