Was out and about at the weekend on the local B roads. A section has a few nice sets of double Z bends. With each set of bends I was trying to improve my entry and exit. As I thought I was getting better, I wasn't. Came out of a right hander lost the back end, tried to correct it, then lost it again. Ended up across the verge and in the bracken hedge. the result a bent wishbone and cracked nose. After initially being p****d off, I now think I've had a lucky escape; could have easily had a nice ditch for me to fly into. The car needs a lot more respect than I was giving it, with the skills I don't have.

Much better to do that sort of thing on a track... where it belongs.

Be careful by all means but lets all be real,these cars are for giving some stick,primarily on the track, but hey you cant condem the lad for playing
just a little.
Quite a few of you have already written cars off,it can happen to us all.
We are all used to comfy and relatively safe fwd cars and forget the rwd cars of our youth,or bygone eras for the younger ones.Even worse these cars
bite with a vengeance due to the lack of weight and loss of gravity induced grip.
I'm just glad you're ok mate,or Mayyt! as you Hull lads say.

Martin at MK sold the GT to a customer last week and on his way home he completely wrote it off.
Martin has seen the car to give a price but he thinks it's a lot to repair.
Glad you are ok,these things do take some getting used to,one of the main problems I had was the fact that the steering does not self centre.The first time I needed a hand full of opposite lock I ended up spinning.Problem was in a normal rear wheel drive car when you apply opp. lock the first part of taking the lock off is done for you by the self centre of the steering and then you just add the required opposite lock.When I came to a standstill facing the wrong way the front wheels were only pointing straight!They require very quick steering inputs!

shame about the car,but good that your not hurt.
a track day is a good place to learn but you can still come unstuck ,,a massive open airfield would be nice with loads of run off.
i spun my old one a few times but i guess i was just lucky that there was no damage

I've been lucky - the only "exciting moments" I've had so far have been in places where there there was "room to swing!"
- usually when I've booted the throttle too soon in a bend...
It's what these cars are all about, as far as I'm concerned...
