Just started to do my gearshift system and when testing and putting into gear the engine cuts out ?
To start the engine again I have to put in neutral, anyone got any ideas ?
Cheers,
Kosmo

Sounds like the side stand trip switch to me (which kills the engine when put into gear if the side stand is down). Is the trip switch still in the
loom?
O
Possibly something to do with the stand switch?
Sorry I can't be specific with the whereabouts of it but your problem is the sidestand inhibitor switch which is designed to stop you pulling off
with the stand down (on a bike)
You need to short, or open that pair of contacts on the loom and your away,
Stott
HAHA! I was first

Linked side stand and clutch switch and it now stays running when you put it in gear.... however now when I switch the ignition on the fuel pump runs
continuously where before it used to run for about 3-5 seconds then stop until the engine is started ?
Is this normal ?
Just fixed this problem.... all my wiring was originally OK, thats a relief, anyway, problem was cut off relay, replaced this and all works as it
should.
Thanks for all the advice,
Kosmo.
