Never had to do this before,so, are the splined ends of a steering column a standard size? I have a splined Caterham column and Mountney wheel. Can't use the wheel for SVA so need to swap. Are column ends a standard diameter and splining?

One word. No. Differe in diameter, number of splines nad shape - some are hexagonal.

Mountney do a shed load of adapters though.
