Hi.

I would like to convert my sierra rear axle on my robin hood to disc brakes. Can anybody tell me what parts i want to be looking out for on ebay or the local scrap yard.

have a look at this

make some carriers as in the link above then use VW rear calipers, these are made of ali and are lighter. Seen on Ebay for around £60 each new sometimes.

Rally design also sell a nice rear caliper for the sierra which is ali, its pretty cheap too. I suspect that its a VW one though.

With that one you need 14" wheels, which is why i ended up with powerlites.
