well. im building my car to be as quick as possible. but still want basic comfort. if theres such a thing with kit cars!!!!! I have some ford escort rs wheels with 60profile tyres. they are 13" wheels. Now im tempted by 15" wheels with low profile tyres but what do you guys suggest??? What is everyone else running? thanks.
13" all the way!
Anything else is just tart tassles.
Oh I have black capri extra wide pepperpots.

My car came with 195/50/15's and I have no problems with comfort.
but for weight saving I would have thought 13's are the way to go
A big consideration if you are going v8 is your final drive ratios. There are some gear ratio calculators on the net
This may be a decider on your wheel and tyre choice ( rolling Circumferance ).
It certainly assisted in my tyre and wheel choices.

any links to a easy to use gear ratio calculator please??
just need to find out what ratios im running now. anyone know what a rover sd1 manual box is and how i know what sierra cosworth diff ive got?? thanks.
Diff: another linky
standard cossie RWD's have 3.64 diffs (7.5"
4x4's have 3.62 diffs (7"
I don't know the LT77 ratios though
but I know that most people with a V8 rush seem to want 3.14, 3.36 or 3.38 diffs(but they mostly have 15", 16" or 17" wheels)

Lt 77 were ratio's I belive cant confirm as I am running Getrag gearbox
Lt 77
3.321 1st
2.132 2nd
1.397 3rd
1 4th
0.77 5th
the reason the V8 boys ( like me
like the 3.14 is the need to get 70 mph as low rpm in top gear as possible for cruising . Especially if you have a cam that has a tendancy to want
to let large lumps of air in on anything abve 3.5k
even with my 3.14 setup 1st gear is left for showing off

.
