Has anybody had experience of SVA and the plastic push-in pipe clips used for fixing solid brake pipes ? They look fine to me but I wolud hate to have to replace them if not acceptable.

[I got some and used a few but share your concerns, iI then bought some 5mm P clips and used them attached with 3mm screws and they seem much more
acceptable and plenty strong enough.

I just took my car for SVA and I have got the P Clips with pop rivets in them. The tester looked at them said they were OK, he did not like the stick on type of p clip, so it sounds like these should be OK
In response to Scutters posting on the 21st; the man on the help desk is now Steve Jones, very helpful and a name worth remembering. Anyway, he say that the push-in rivet type plastic clips should be no problem, the main criteria being secure fixing of the pipe work and he also implied that there was no specified spacing for the fixing, but I am still going for 200mm(8")to be on the safe side(the 200mm/8" spacing is more for wiring which is obviously more flexible). He also said that the standard clips welded to the back axle should be OK as the brake pipe being made of a rigid material is not going anywhere. He also suggested thats its good practice to protect the rigid pipe work where passing any part of the chassis/structure with plastic sleeve but it should be taped in position to prevent movement or loss.
