Tunnel Side Mounted Handbrake
motorcycle_mayhem - 30/12/08 at 06:37 PM

I need to relocate my handbrake, the tunnel is now getting a little tight at the rear. I'm faced with widening the rear propshaft-exit hole or moving the handbrake assembly.
Currently, it's the Westfield top-tunnel mounted assembly, Sierra cables to Sierra calipers. Would be great to relocate this out of the way, tunnel side mounted on the passenger side with a vertical lever???????
What are you currently driving that has this arrangement?

Thanks for any help.

the stylus is side mounted as standard, it uses a stock lever i think.

the majority of the Sylva stable are done in this way...

Fury

THANKS GUYS, I thought I'd seen a side-mount on a competitors R1ot, it must have been so.
Antnicuk - that's exactly what I'm looking for.
Far easier for me to weld a plate down there than go hacking the rear tunnel and wishbone mountings apart.
Now to find Messers Sylva and Raw, credit card at the ready.

It's a stock Mk2 Escort handbrake lever - shouldnt be too hard to find ?
