Festa MK3 Lower Balljoints
James - 22/7/02 at 11:09 AM

Decided this is worth a post of it own...

Are the MK3 Fiesta lower balljoints the same dimensions as the Sierra ones?

I only ask as the Fiesta ones appear removable and so perhaps could be attached to the lower wishbones. That'd be a damn site easier than boring out the lower hole to fit a maxi one.

Any info greatfully received.

Thanks,

James

i think u might have somethin i no there thicker than the earler fiesta bj's but the 90-escorts are the same style.

p.s powersteering fistas have 3 bolts on the balljoint not 2 as the normal 1

James

There's an engineering place in West Drayton who did the bore for me. Cost me a fiver cash. Can't remember the name of the place but the guys have done a couple of cash jobs for me and I can give you directions.

but then arnt fiestas machphereson jointed? The bottom joints arnt rated for the 'pulling' loads - the strut takes all the weight.

Oh, ok if you don't think it'd work.

I'll have a look at a MK3 again and decide- just thought it'd be a simple option!
