I'm using a set of these hydra-mech calipers bought from Rally Design:
Description
I believe they are an OE VAG unit? Does anyone know what make/model car or cars they come off? It would be nice to know for future reference for if or
when I want to replace the pads (I'm not sure RD are selling them any more?)
Cheers,
Bill
Look very much like Golf II rears
They also look very like the ones on my MKIII(ish) Golf.

Iirc they look very similar to the ones used on the late Seat Ibiza/cordoba rear calipers... possibly a mk4?

NOOOO agen
I'am using similar ones on my Phoenix.
Mine are aluminium with steel carriers (half the weight of all iron)
They are off a late Audi A3 (and they don't have the coil spring thingy)
A good alternative to sierra ones
what is the distance between the mounting lugs?? just wondering if they are the same as the sierra rears. 90mm i think...
Same as sierra ones, fit straight on.
253mm sierra discs, pads fit exacty in middle of disc...
but...brake cable comes out of bottom of caliper but can be made to fit.
Thanks for all the replies. I've done a bit of googling on MKIV golfs and they certainly look the same (lucas system), as do the pads. Looks like
the caliper is widely used on other VAGs as well.
Thanks again,
Bill
