My cousin has this sylva phoenix below, its now orange but was yellow if anyone recognises it, it was bought from ebay last year in Essex.
Anyway, the drivers side lower ball joint has some play but we dont know what its from. Fisher sports cars said they dont know anything about the
outboard shock version.
It appears that the front stud pattern is different from the rear, i think this maybe because the front is vauxhall (possibly chevette maybe???) and
the rear maybe an english but again, i'm guessing!
Any help much appreciated.

Those like like Viva / Chevette, just like mine.
does that mean the lower b/j that attaches to the lower wishbone will also be chevette/ viva?? if so, how does it attach, i cant see how its attached
to the lower wishbone
Hi
Definitely looks like the older chevette setup. My gues would be that the chassis is one off the much older strikers with the much later Phoenix body
dropped over it.
For a definitive answer ask Jeremy Philips or just as likely to get the definitive answer from the forum devoted to cars produced by Jeremy. Sorry
cant think of it's actual name.
Cheers Matt
That is a Chevette upright. The bottom balljoint has a spline which engages into a splined receptacle on the bottom track control arm. I'm pretty sure Sylva used this arrangement on their bottom wishbone - the splined holder will be a part of the fabricated lower wishbone. You'll need to drift the balljoint out using a tube and a big hammer.
