what is the max size of commonly available rose joints? trying to develop an aftermarket addition to normal kit car susp. brackets that will allow easy castor change, but at the moment its looking as if ill need a rose joint well over 20mm id, do they exist, is there any problem using them this big?

I would imagine the stiction on a rose joint that size would be prohibtive for such a lightweight application.

Can you not machine some reducers to allow "standard" rosejoints to be utilised?

really your not explaining why you need such a huge one for a lightweight car

Most common size rosejoints used on Kitcar's suspension is 1/2" thread with 1/2" bore. That is considered to be more than big enough. 7/16" or 3/8" would be considered more than strong enough. Assuming quality items are being used.

30mm Rod ends are pretty commonly available. Probably not particularly cheap however.
