My Westfield has independant suspension and an alluminium diff with a Westfield stamp on it.
How do i work out/know what ratio it is?
Im fitting an R1 engine this month and would like to know.
Cheers
You could jack the back up do one revolution of you wheels and then count how many turns your prop does.
Way to go^^^^^^^
Bank manager gave you the loan then!?
Thank god the credit crunch is over!

I'd say you want a 3.36 for a 7 with an R1. Anything higher and you'll run out of aero and any lower and you'll run out of revs. Final
drive ratios vary depending on the year of the R1 though so check that as well.
My Fury R1 has a Freelander 3.21 and its a bit high geared off the line but with better aero it goes through 130mph as I change into fifth (on the
track) pulling like a train so I'm pretty sure it'll hit pretty close to the projected 150+ in top.

John, you may be lucky but I'd say you probably have a 3.89 like me, best you will get for our casing is 3.54
