just want to have a look at the quality
got some quotes in, they come a lot cheaper than the other 2 i asked (about £40 cheaper) but just want to see what they look like

a bit specific i know, but i'd just like to see how they look

No photo sorry and I'm not sure what you would get from a photo but I've got a D&F 2 piece TRT prop in mine and it looks just fine.

D&F are a fair quality from what I've seen of the new prop I'm fitting in a Blade engined locost at the moment.

If you wanted to be really picky, then the paint job is a little dry around one third of the TRT section on the prop, but to be honest that's simply cosmetic and therefore not really to be sniffed at.

To be fair the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and I am sure that they are of a good quality in that respect.

A lot of the people on here will only be able to offer opinions about there own experiences and most peoples applications will be a lot lighter than the car you're building so it's not quite as relevant experience really!

ETA - if you want a photo, I can take one over the weekend from underneath if you want to, but a photo isn't going to tell you much about the quality of the prop itself!

I used Dunning and Fairbank for the sliding prop on my Mallock Suzuki. Excellent product and service. Nice people.

cheers guys, yeah i know you can't really get much from the quality from a photo, but the other sites i've looked at have had pictures of their products. but not D&F, i think you can tell a lot from the look of the weld quality, if there's bee a lot of weight added for balancing etc. just gives an indication, you know...

paint finish on mine was also poor, but it fits fine, and nothing obiously wrong with the way it's built

one thing to always look out for is grease nipplies so you can keep them alive, sealed for life bearings are worthless in a prop

Chris and Steve are both talking about the same prop.

I've not had it working yet so I can;t really comment on the quality, to my untrained eye it looked ok, tidy welds etc.

I can confirm that the perfomance of the box it came in was very good... that any help?

i use one of there props on the esscy grp4 with no problems and it takes lots of stick last year i snapped a halfshaft in a fully floating axle prop still fine

mine is currently off the car due to a conrod related escape attempt so will get you a pic today

thats spot on mate. what diameter tube is that? call me a bit fussy but i want one that 'looks' right too

to be honest i am not sure i can measure it but it wont be for a cpl of days as far as i know its standerd size for a ford single piece prop

don't worry about it mate, i've asked for 3" tube, which seems about right. I've seen 2" props advertised, just doesn't seem right to me

going to order this weekend. i guess they're quite happy just for the measurements between the diff flange and the oil seal on the gearbox?
