Pinto manifold mods
Dickyboy - 21/2/09 at 08:23 AM

I have a DGAV Weber and a later pinto inlet manifold (28/30 Weber), the footprint of the carb is different. What I would like is a Cortina pinto manifold, but they're like rocking horse poo. Any known problems with welding up two stud holes (Trev??) and retapping to suit the DGAV, then grinding the casting to match the carb? anyone done it?

Im in France till Tuesday.
But if you are interested
Send me the carb stud pattern and I will look when I get back.

Whats the weather like over there at the moment. Was thinking of popping over sometime soon and doing some work on me barn.
Heard theyve had bad storms just lately just hoping the roofs held out.
Cheers,
Bob

Today is beautiful, clear blue and about 10-12 degrees, not had much wind (weather!) lately so hopefully no damage. Supposed to be good for a few days.

The weather is gastly....
Only showing 18deg on my front wall
Sitting here on the patio wondering if I should get another beer or not !!!

I didn't get any real damage here in the Charente.. Few bits of branches of thats about all.
I know some people further south had it a lt worse.

Where is your place?

In England last week I was deciding which coat to put on to keep warm.
Today it's should I put my shorts on or not..

It's a bloody hard life ain't it?

Abzac near Confolens about 40 klicks north of you.

House is pretty sheltered so it should be OK, trouble is the roof is of the old style with those stupid slippy tiles, mate of mine was supposed to reroof it about 4 years ago but thats as far as it got so everytime I hear of windy conditions in France I'm having pups.
Cheers,
Bob

I think you up near Confolen
should be OK.

Most fof the real damage seems to have been South of me

Here If people hadn't have told me there has been a storm, I don't think I would have known.

Anyway fingers crossed for you mate.

David

PS. Just rememberd, you told me where your place is.
Sorry, think the booz is getting to me...
