As stated above its standard M14 thread.

RS200/Mexico also uses the M14 thread, but has a thicker stud, this wont fit standard steering arms on the hubs.,

For Mk2 Escort and Cortina M14 yes bog standard M14 no. It is a from the coarse pitch series istr its is M14x2 .

True...it is from the coarse series, but many people treat the coarse series as standard....rightly or wrongly

IMO it is ALWAYS wise to include the pitch in the size so there is never any doubt.

"Normal" for M14 is 1.5 or 1.25 pitch --- In automotive use 2mm pitch in M14 is almost unique to to Ford.

We'll have to agree to differ on this one...every tapping chart I've ever seen has always listed M14x2 as the first/main/ or most popular size.

Ditto. ISO Metric coarse (i.e. standard) is M14 x 2. There are then 2 ISO metric fine pitches for M14, 1.5 and 1.25mm with 1.25mm pitch being the std fine thread.
