Hard brake pedal

What could cause an excessively hard brake pedal, I mean this has virtually no movement at all although the brakes seem to work OK.

If you have a bias bar fitted and have put the locking nuts on the bar so they touch the forks coming off the master cly slacken them off about 10mm each and the pedal should have more movement
This was the problem with mine

If the brakes work well, then you've probably got everything right with no slop in the linkeage and no air in the system. A small amount of movement is required to ensure that the brakes can't seize on, but it can be hard to feel this with your foot.
My single seater brakes feel like this and they work just great.

I have driven single seater race cars with a brake pedal that doesnt feel as if it moves at all! They work though.

On cars without a servo especially with disc brakes the pedal should feel prety solid --BUT if there is no movement at all suspect the master cyilinder pistons are being prevented from coming back fully, if this is the case the brakes will bind and eventually lock on when the brakes warm up and the fluid expands.

Remove a wheel and pull out a brake pad and the press the brake pedal to move the caliper piston out a few mm then check the piston can be pushed back easily.
