After driving my machine at the weekend (big smile still attached to face) I now know i need to do somthing about the setup of the wheels.

Does anyone have a numpty guide and what tools do i need/where do i get them from Im assuming i need somthing for angle of the wheels not sure about this toe in toe out business

I know it isn't locost, but you could take it somewhere good to do it for you.

I plan to get mine looked at by someone, only because I think there is no point having £x thousand pound toy that doesn;t handle very well. Thats the whole point of it to me.

I know it can be self done, but I'm not sure how good of a job a complete novice can do. (based on your "not sure about this toe in toe out business"

I was going to do this post SVA as it was my understanding the SVA needs a slightly different setup which is not optimal for these kits

Only if you need to fudge the setup to improve flaws introduced by incorrect geometry in the first place e.g. self centering.

I think worth getting camber, tracking and so on done properly. You can only do these things at home properly if you have some of the right tools and a perfectly level floor to work off. You can I think get it just about OK with a spirit level and basic tools, but if your floor isn;t level and you don;t have the right bits it will never be exactly right.

Ok my only problem is getting the car places until it is registered as I missed been able to tow a tralor by a year so dont really have a legal way of moving it. I managed to get my bro to take a day off for the test to pull it up there but otherwise im a bit stuck this is why I was going to do it my self for the SVA then get set up by someone after

How heavy is your car? If you get hold of a lightweight trailer you should be just in the limit to tow it?

lewis, when did you pass your test? What car do you have?

Im pretty sure you'll be fine with the right trailer.

I use my lightweight trailer, complete with locost car perfetly legally.

I passed my test in 2000 I have looed into towing before but the trailers i have access to are all ifor williams which means i can tow them empty but as soon as you put a spade on the back it is over weight from my leicence
