Hi,
New member with problem. I have a old 750 type locost that I have rebuilt and now have on the road. The problem I have is the turning circle is
rubbish, and now i am fitting a zzr engine with no reverse I need to improve it. Any ideas, would increasing the caster angle help.
Is the steering rack restricted (with stops under the ball joint gaiters) and how much clearance do your tyres have on full lock (generally to headlamps and exhaust)??
With a ZZR engine fitted, you need not worry about the turning circle. If it looks like you're gonna run out of turning space, a quick jab of the
throttle will get it to turn on a sixpence

Hi, Dont know, do you just remove the gator to find out or ary the inside the rack
Correct - should be able to remove the inner cable tie and see if there is a stop of some sort placed over the rack. People have used various things - jubilee clip, split bushes etc to prevent the rack going all the way into the housing and so limiting the turning circle. This is generally to stop the wheels / tyres fouling on something so maybe there is little you can do.
As Phil says - this works. Click me

speedyxjs - 12/3/09 at 04:41 PMThere is a much easier way of doing it (i use it sometimes in the tintop.
Full lock, first gear, 3-4k, dump clutch
