Whist fiddling with some of the bits & pieces I`m accumulating for my impending build (as you do!) I`ve gone & lost the nut off the top of the taper of one of my MK2 Escort tie rod ends. Thinking that it would be an easy task to measure it & get another nyloc nut, I got out vernier & thread gauges & found it was a thread that didn`t correspond to anything on my tapping drilling size chart which contains all the usual suspects. It appears to be 10mm with a 1mm thread pitch, finer than 10mm fine, definitly not 3/8 unf either. Anyone got any clues for me?

M10x1mm on escorts - its a farty size, but any nut and bolt stockist will carry them at a few pence each in stainless too
