Does any one know what is involved in fitting vented Sierra ft. brakes to Cortina uprights?
According to the article in PPC the (georgeous) all alloy locost has had this done, I can't see any thing from the photos so not sure it it uses
vented discs or not.

Silly question, why would you want to replace a heavy lump of cast iron with a heavier lump?

Why? Because we have a perfect set of Sierra calipers with new vented discs and on the Challenger 11 the brakes are not in the air flow like on a 7,
hence they will run hotter.
We have since re-con'ed the cortina calipers and have new discs on their way.
Since starting this thread I have spoken to Trev (owner of the alloy bodied car in PPC) and the mag got it wrong he has Sierra on the rear and std
Cortina at the ft.
