Is there a cheap place to buy Gaz Shocks?
adrianreeve - 23/3/09 at 07:00 PM

As title says really. I need a set of shocks and springs for my haynes roadster, and was wondering if there was anywhere cheaper than Dampertech? Actually £330 for the set is really good, but I was a locoster before old daddy Champion even thought about building cars on the cheap, so I need to know that I've got them as cheap as I can!!

Cheers

Adrian

i think rally design do Gaz ones (well i know they do) at about £50-£80 each plus vat (depending on spec)

add in the cost of springs though... reckon it can't still be done cheaper than your £330

edit springs are about £15 +vat each

Hi Adrian

I got mine from this UK Ebay trader http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/wcg869_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ, He was very good to deal with , even with me being on the other side of the world.
I think If you ask him he will have what you need .

Cheers

Hi

If you buy from Dampertech at least you can tell him what spec you want your dampers. Where as buying from any other they are just selling what ever they have on the shelf. Which will not be suitable for a light weight kit car.
