Does anyone know what the differences are between Escort and Cortina hubs? Are they interchangable?

They're not interchangable as such, no. They can be used but need a mushroom adapter to fit in the machperson strut mounting point.
I don't know about the geometry of the hubs but would be suprised if it was the same. It's worth doing a search on this as I'm relatively sure it's been covered before

I mean the actual hubs and not the whole upright assembly. i.e. Cortina vs MKII Escort

MK3 Cortina onwards definitely not interchangeable.-- its been tried

Thanks, i'm looking at MK4/5 cortina uprights so that answers my question perfectly. (even though it's not the answer I wanted!)
