Just picked up a set, the question is are the sticky pads with mintex writen all over them designed to go on the back of the pad when fitting?

Probably depends on which capliper they are for. The sticky pads may be for anti-squeal or to stop the pad rattling/knocking in the caliper.

The Wilwood Powerlites I have don't need anything as they springs built in to stop the above.

They'll be to stick on to stop squeeling.

Off topic...
Are they for Powerlites? Do you have the part number for them?
I can order Mintex through work and save myself the RD postage (and the order might get lost in the monthly pile of invoices) but I need the number.
