Hi All

can anyone suggest a good metal supplier in kent where i can walk in tell them what i want pay for it and take it away in the car.

i hate having to pay parker steel for delivery when i can pick up 99% of what i buy in the car.

Hi Mate.
I use ISG Steel, up in Beckenham.

Never had a problem with collecting from them.
They'll also cut it for you if you ask nicely.

ISG in Beckanham are cheap, friendly, and will let you drive the stuff away in your mini cooper (if, like me, that's your daily driver!) As Dogwood said, they'll also cut it up for you to fit your car. Don't tell the lady you want it cut when you pay, cos you're supposed to pay for the cutting, but the guys in the warehouse will always chop it up for you.

Are ISG open at the weekends?

Hopeful I know, but it's a pain in the ar$e for me to get to Beckenham during the week, and I suspect the delivery cost on a single length of 25mm box will rule the delivery option out!

No they are shut at the weekends. I live about 5min drive from them and would be willing to get you a length that i could cut up to get in my granada scorpo if you cannot get there until weekend.You can then arrange to pick up and pay me if you like.
I work in Norwood area if you want to collect from me during the day or any evening if you like from home.

I asked the same last week, but for Aluminium.

I tried 3 companies, and found Aalco in Swanley most competetive on Aluminium Sheet. (They are on the M20/M25 Junction)

They do steel as well.

I emailed as it was out of hours (11pm) and had a reply at 8.27 the next morning.
