I have been wondering about this, which can be a bad thing.
I am using the standard Sierra steering wheel and column. What other ford Steering wheels would fit without mods and be an inch or two smaller?
It has the hexagonal hole in the middle and centre horn push, although I could always use the wash switch for that if needed.
I am not on the road yet so want to keep it all approved, but a small reduction in size would make it easier to get in and out of the seat!
Cheers

I'm not sure but there are a couple of choices MAYBE. orion and escorts spring to mind. Best way to see would be to go on the likes of merlin motorsport website and look at which cars use the same steering colum boss. this would give you a good indication of which wheels MAY fit.
you want the steering wheel to be as big as possible for SVA/IVA as it allows you to have an exemption area behind the wheel where there doesn't
need to be any radiuses etc on pertrusions from the dash! the exemption area is 120mm from the outer edge of the wheel
i would say just put up with the owkwardness of getting in and out until after SVA/IVA and then buy yourself a nice 10" wheel.
I spent a happy half hour in the scrappies a few years ago trying to find a smaller wheel. All the Ford ones I found were different styles (4-spoke,
3-spoke etc. with horn buttons in different places) but the diameters were all the same as the Sierra.
I concur with the previous post - put up with it for now and buy something just right post IVA.
Thanks for the replies, and yes I will most likely put up with it as it is. The dash is very plane, with the only thing I have to fit yet is the fog
light switch. I have to fabricate a cowl to go it it, if I need to? I guess leaving it open is not an option.
My Mondeo wheel although totally different style is virtually the same dia. So I guess most cars are done to a standard.
