Anyone know a friendly machine shop (lathe) in Northampton?

Need my Sierra steering column hex part turning down (assuming there's enough meat!) to go inside a SPA QR boss slug.

Trev D mentioned somewhere near The Mounts (Turbo Tool or similar - memory failing from last night!) but I'm struggling to find them.

If I could get it done today then I can crack on and strip it out. If not I'll have to wait as I have a track day on Monday and Saturday (PPC in the Park)

Triton,

Thanks for that. Gave them a call about half an hour ago but they shut at 1pm on a Friday so not enough time to get it off and over to them today.

Will have to be next week now.

Still interested to know about any others that are closer to the centre of Northampton as Brixworth is probably a 25min drive each way (not a problem but it would just be my luck thats there is one in the industrial estate a few miles from my house!)

I reckon it's always worth doing a once around your local ind estates, particularly those with small units just to find whos there, often find lots of businesses that are useful to kit builders....

I must admit I know nowhere in NH and it would be nice to.

Given the amount of swarf which is collected outside the back of Mahle/Cosworth etc (by the sorting office) there's quite large machine shop in there.

Clearly you can't just walk in and get them to do something, but I'm sure a lot of "homers" happen, if you can find somebody.

Where abouts are you hobbsy? (I'm Wrenbury Road).
