rubber engine mounts
cd.thomson - 26/5/09 at 07:24 AM

I've just spotted these on ebay.

linky

Can anybody see a reason why I can't use these instead of the round ford mounts? These are much cheaper, and I imagine firmer?

I have them holding my pinto in place, they are solid as steel!(?)

I'd order them right away. Cheap and looking OK.
The stiffness is determined by the grade of the rubber (shore).

Agreed part number STC434. not seen them as cheap as that. Usually about £3 +Vat an postage.

Might be an imperial thread. Still... thats not a major problem.
