Been told I need to use M16 disks. Anyone out there know what Ford or vehicle uses them. I have converted to sierra alloy uprights and the sierra ones does not fit. It appears that the disks bolt on the the hub with four bolts and does not use the wheel studs. David
M16 are cortina disks
m16 caliper came off the mk3,4,5 cortina and late mk 2 escors and capris I believe their is someone selling grooved M16 discs on ebay for £38 +p+p
Are you sure the alloy uprights are Sierra? Those arent very common since Raceleda stopped doing them and i'd guess they are more likely to be Cortina ones - especially as you need M16 Cortina disks (and probably M16 Cortina calipers too) as mentioned above
They are raceleda alloy uprights and hubs etc, With them you have to use m16 disks. Any links to the e-bay person selling them cant find it.
Capri MK2 - got my disks from the local motor factors for next to nothing. Wish I'd put better pads on the calipers though.... Mintex 1144s
maybe next time?
Ed.
I think I have a pair of MNR supplied drilled and grooved cortina discs in the garage, I'll have a look tomorrow morning and let you know.
See for sale section.
